Mexico City.- Women WIM Mexico, will award the "WIM Seal" to organizations in the mining-metallurgical industry with the purpose of promoting, rewarding and recognizing companies in the sector that promote equal opportunities and acceptable working conditions for women in the country's mining industry.

The president of the organization, Doris Vega, reported that the "WIM Seal" is an award made in conjunction with the Mine Academy and will be awarded to mining companies, suppliers and services that have and apply mechanisms that guarantee recruitment under conditions of equity committed to equity and that guarantee the increase in female participation from operational positions to senior management.

Doris Vega commented that: "It is an initiative that arises from the growing need to promote, in the organizations of the sector, favorable climates that foster development, inclusion and equity."

Also avoid gender discrimination, low pay for work, have clear policies that prevent workplace and sexual harassment, provide infrastructure and equipment, take care of the health and safety of its staff, promote opportunities for career development among women from 2022 to 2025, throughout the country's mining industry.
